This is what  PATRIOTS believed in and this is what they fought for, this is what we must never forget! Let's never forget them, for if they live in our hearts, they are immortal, as will be our FREEDOM!

"In Congress July 4, 1776, The Unanimous Declaration of Independence of The Thirteen United States of America began as follows...."When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the Powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitles them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to separation.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness....."

This Document is now enshrined in the National Archives in Washington D.C., and is sealed in a glass and bronze case filled with inert helium gas for it's preservation.

Pvt. James Blanton ~ North Carolina Militia, Infantry & Calvary ~ 1780 - 1781. Born: Cross Creek NC March 15, 1764. King's Mountain - "recollections of the venerable James Blanton, now eighty-two years of age, who was well acquainted with both Green and Langum. Allowed Pension May 28, 1833, Duplin NC.  1835 Benjamin F (Fussell) Blanton made affidavit in behalf of the soldier James Blanton.
