Blanton Family War Veterans

MEMORIAL ASSEMBLY

A Noble Soldier

Our Flag has served in peacetime and in dire conflicts.  Our Colors are grand waving open in the wind.  When our AMERICAN FLAG has served and is tired, tattered and torn, it is deserving of an honorable and reverent disposal for having served our Country well. Please contact someone in your community that performs this service. i.e: Boy Scounts, etc.

MEMORIAL DAY 2013

It is the
VETERAN
,
not the preacher,
who has given us freedom of religion.

It is
the
VETERAN,
not the reporter,
who has given us freedom of the press.

It is
the
VETERAN,
not the poet,
who has given us freedom of speech.

It is
the
VETERAN,
not the campus organizer,
who has given us freedom to assemble.

It is
the
 VETERAN,
not the lawyer,
who has given us the right to a fair trial.

It is
the
VETERAN,
not the politician,
Who has given us the right to vote.

It is

the VETERAN who
salutes the Flag even of he/she is disabled and strives to stand from a wheel chair.

It is
the VETERAN
who serves under the Flag, coming home, his/her casket cloaked under the Flag

"ETERNAL REST GRANT THEM O LORD, AND LET PERPETUAL LIGHT SHINE UPON THEM WHO HAVE GIVEN THEIR ALL FOR ALL. IN JESUS NAME, AMEN"
