Silver or white on a bend (black) sable; 3 gold lions rampant out of the

1571 - Robert Grover, Somerset Herald, 1571 -1588 included in his
ordinary of arms, two coats for Blanton of Lancashire, and the
simplicty of the first points to great antiquity, and it may be assumed
that the second coat is of a latter date and adopted by a descendant
of the family bearing the first coat.
